Resident Evil - it's the series that won't die! Which is fitting, given that it's a title all about the undead, though we recall a time when Capcom remained adamant that the Resi games were now GameCube exclusives.
Not so; the original Outbreak title will be lurching gracelessly onto PS2s from September in Europe, and now Capcom US has confirmed what we all already knew - that a sequel is on the way.
Capcom's press release tells us little more than we told you last week; the game will be known as Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 and is set to appear in the US this Winter - which would indicate a Spring release for Europe.
Again there's the single-player offline mode, along with the online mode that allows up to four players take on those unlovely flesh-eaters as they go about their foul business. Fortunately, we've got the first screenshots of the game in action.
Check out that homicidal undead elephant, stop briefly to ask yourself why Ed Wood never made a movie about a psychopathic pachyderm, and then pray that this time, the European version of the game will come online intact.
