Today we were made privy to a glorious trailer showcasing SquEnix's Kingdom Hearts 2, which will be available for PS2 this winter.
Characters making an appearance aside from the returning cast of Donald, Mickey, the Aladdin cast and that one with the big nose we can't remember (Pluto?), include a digitised Keira Knightley from Pirates of the Caribbean, Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas, Mulan characters and a very well-realised Johnny Depp as Cap'n Jack Sparrow.
On top of this the trailer hinted at a level of polish and passion arguably not seen in a Square Enix title since Final Fantasy X, including multiple mini-games and chase scenes to add variety to the hack and slash RPG fun.
One scene that stood out was a battle with - we kid you not - a hundred or so characters lunging for our heroes in a visual not too dissimilar to the hundred Smiths battle in Matrix Reloaded. Though obviously in a more cutesy setting and with more 'Clockwork Night' looking soldiers.
