NFS: Carbon pimps trailer and screens

Finally, EA has officially announced Need for Speed: Carbon, and we've got the first neon-screens and teaser trailer showing off this year's sure-fire Christmas number one contender.

The latest Need for Speed mixes things up a bit by moving you out of the ghetto and onto some dangerous canyon roads. Fighting for city territories, ultimately you must settle your rivalries on narrow canyon circuits alongside deadly pitfalls. Your mates, or 'crew', will also be there to help you and are now fully customisable using EA's new-fangled 'Autosculpt' technology.

"We pride ourselves on our ability to reinvent the franchise and continually uncover new and exciting trends in car culture," says Carbon producer, Larry Lapierre. "Canyon Racing is a real test of a driver's skill and we think it provides a fantastic game play opportunity to lean into."

Need for Speed: Carbon is currently planned for a November release on Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, Wii and virtually every other current console. We'll let you know how it's shaping up as soon as we get our hands on the wheel.
