New Metroid Prime 3 screens don't do it justice

Five new low-res screens and a new logo that don't live up to this stunning-looking game

One of the Metroid Prime games' most notable features are the incredibly detailed visuals, and the third episode looks just stunning - far better than these five new screens would have you believe.

No matter though - we'll take anything Nintendo throws at us for MP3, and below you will also see the flashy new logo for the game.

Among the new features for this game (obvious motion controls aside), Samus will be able to harness the power of Phazon to enter a temporary Hyper mode, which will boost her power. She will have to charge her Phazon levels to do this, but if she over charges she'll die so you'll need to keep a close eye on that.

The new fact sheet also teases at the inclusion of "new bounty hunters" in the quest, and, for the first time in the Metroid series, "Samus' ship will be used in active game play."

As confirmed last week, lucky US gamers will get their fix of Metroid action on August 20. A European release will hopefully follow shortly after. We can't wait.
