New Forbidden Siren for PS3

Famitsu confirms SCE's new survival horror, which is out this summer

A new Forbidden Siren game is on its way to PS3 as soon as the summer says the latest issue of Famitsu.

Forbidden Siren New Translation will go on sale in Japan as early as July 24, with a demo planned for April 24 - that's next week.

If you've missed Sony's survival horror series up until now, it tells the story of several characters trapped in an old Japanese village over the course of three days. Inevitably, zombies turn up - and they're Japanese ones, which are much worse.

According to Famitsu (via Kotaku), the PS3 instalment is a reworking of the first PS2 game, and is currently "90 percent done". But forum posters are saying there are 12 episodes, which leads them to think it may be episodically delivered via PSN.

Have a look at the pics and try and make you own mind up. We've contacted Sony and await its reply.
