THQ is set to close four or five of its internal game studios, according to various rumours and reports across the internet.
One THQ developer, Helixe, which mostly worked on GBA and DS Pixar games, has already confirmed it's to close shop. "You've got it. ... We're packing today," a studio spokeperson told Edge-Online.
The other studios said to follow Helixe are Stuntman and Pilotwings 64 dev Paradigm and recent Destroy All Humans! Studios Locomotive and Sandblast Games.
UK-based Juice games, which as you've probably guessed did Juiced, is also said to have had the majority of its staff sacked.
A rep for THQ corporate would not confirm or deny the reports. "As of now, we are not [commenting], but you'll hear something shortly," the spokesperson said.
The news is already too widespread to be rubbish - expect an official announcement from THQ shortly.
