PES 2010 to drop online IDs

Konami's set to ditch the much-hated Konami online IDs for Pro Evolution Soccer 2010.

That's according to a report on French site Gamekyo, which claims to have heard PES 2010's online plans from Konami itself.

PES 2010 online games will now be hosted directly on PSN and Xbox Live servers, it claims, hopefully guaranteeing a lag-free experience a far cry from the often troublesome network bouts of the last two PES entries.

Apparently Konami promises an "unforgettable experience" with PES 2010's online game, with no need to arse around registering multiple usernames and network IDs. Thank Christ.

We've left a message with Konami's UK outfit.
