Silent Hill will never sound the same again

After 16 years with Konami, mainly creating the awesome sounds that tug on the old heart strings in the Silent Hill series, it's being reported that the Silent Hill sound man, Akira Yamaoka has left the Japanese building.
There's been no formal confirmation from Konami, so we'll have to take the rumour with a pinch of salt for the time being.
We'll get on to Konami and ask for the company line. Check back later for an update.
