Buffy creator making Half-Life movie?

UPDATE: Gabe Newell refutes rumour. Sad face.

UPDATE: Valve's Gabe Newell has reportedly claimed that Joss Whedon's 'official' Facebook account is a dud. We're heartbroken.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon may have revealed that he's in talks with Valve to create a Half-Life movie.

Speaking on his 'official' Facebook fan page, 'Whedon' (or someone on his behalf) wrote earlier today:

'In talks with Gabe Newell of Valve Corporation to direct a Half Life film starring Nathan Fillion after Avengers is complete.'

The account certainly seems kosher - with almost 100 fans already discussing the news under 'Whedon's' post - but you can never be sure of these things. (We'll follow up with Valve right now...)

As well as starring in Whedon's upcoming movie The Avengers, Fillion voiced Buck in Halo 3: ODST, fact fans.

The news just keeps getting better for Gordon Freeman lovers, it seems.

An poster doing the rounds suggests that Valve will announce a new Half-Life game on Monday, June 14th at E3.

Valve sent a cryptic email to journalists last week explaining that its E3 2010 press conference was no longer going to involve Portal 2.

But when it comes to the movie, who would YOU want to play Gordon Freeman? And, perhaps more importantly, should they be mute like the man himself?
