3DS coming in 2011 - Nintendo

Nintendo's US boss, Reggie Fils-Aime is reported to have told an American TV show that Nintendo's new 3DS handheld won't be coming out until next year.
Fils-Aime appeared as a guest on NBC show Late Night With Jummy Fallon and when asked when the new 3D handheld will be released, Fils-Aime said "it's coming out next year."
Until now, Nintendo has always said that the console will be released 'before March 2011' and only last week Fils-Aime could be heard repeating that mantra.
So was this weekend's admission just a slip up from Reggie? After all, a source close to retail recently told CVG that the handheld will be released in December.
