EA has announced that DICE is hard at work on Battlefield 3 - and that a beta key for the game will be included in the limited edition of October's Medal Of Honor.
The FPS is being developed for PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
Very few other details are known, except EA promises `an invitation to the Battlefield 3 beta within 12-months following the release of Medal of Honor' - so you may have a wait on your hands.
In addition, Xbox Live members must have a Gold account to access the beta.
It's likely that EA is readying Battlefield 3 to go up against Activision's Modern Warfare 3 - which is expected to release in Q4 next year.
EA's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was a smash hit when released earlier this year - going straight to No.1 in the UK All Formats chart.
The title was the West's best-selling game in March, with more than 2.3 milion sales in its opening month.
