Halo Reach midnight launch detailed
9th Sep 2010 | 11:39
Sometimes the basic shop-assistant isn't enough. Sometimes you want your game handed to you by a Spartan. It's fine, we've all felt it.
If you head over to GAME in London's Westfield Shopping Centre on the evening of Monday 13th September for the "special opening" of Halo Reach, you'll get just that.
Noble Team's very own Carter and Jun are taking a break from war to make a special appearance at the store to lead nationwide midnight openings of Halo Reach.
Not enough? Six lucky people will not only be selected to be the first to receive their copies of Halo: Reach at midnight but they'll get to pose with the Spartans by enormous Halo: Reach murals currently being painted along the side of Westfield's Eat Street.
Game, Spartans, murals, posing; you couldn't ask for more could you?
Fine. The winners will also receive limited edition Halo Reach merchandise and everyone who attends will be in with the chance to win GAME gift vouchers.
"Halo is the biggest video game series in history and as a pop culture icon it's been called the 'Star Wars' for the joypad generation," said Stephen McGill, Director of Xbox and Entertainment, UK & Ireland, of the launch.
"We're delighted be welcoming Noble Team to our Westfield store for the official launch of Halo: Reach and can't wait to see all the Halo fans, it's going to be a great night," added Game PR man, Neil Ashurst.
"Even if you can't get to Westfield, the majority of our stores will also be open at midnight to make sure that customers can get their hands on the game as soon as possible."
Seven minutes of Halo Reach campaign gameplay footage was released yesterday. Go and look at it.
