Black Ops Japan launch pics are odd, a bit sexy

Japanese actresses don their battle gear for Black Ops launch

Call of Duty: Black Ops officially launches in Japan today (or almost yesterday if you live in the country).

As you can imagine, its big launch party was a bit different from ours, starring large men and models with guns. Alright, not that different then.

Square Enix, which is handling publishing duties in the region, threw a bash for 100 randomly invited fans and various Japanese celebrities.

Square Enix president Yoichi Wada and Treyarch design director David Vonderhaar took the stage, as did Japanese actresses Natsuki Kato and Uno Kanda, plus retired Japanese sumo wrestler Akebono Taro. He's a big man.

The armour-clad lasses apparently announced a 'Call of Duty Survival' section on Japanese MTV, in which viewers challenge various artists and celebs at Black Ops deathmatch.

We properly wish we were at this event. Doesn't it look fun? No?
