Japanese gamers will get their first opportunity to play 3DS in January ahead of the console's February release date.
Yes, Nintendo has announced a 3DS demo day called Nintendo World 2011. It will take place on the 8th, 9th and 10th of January at the Makuhari Messe convention center just outside Tokyo and admission will be free.
Satoru Iwata announced that it would be holding an event during a special video last month and now the full details have been revealed.
So far the 3DS has been playable at press and invite-only events. When the new handheld was officially unveiled at this year's E3 conference, Nintendo didn't show off any gameplay videos as it would be difficult to convey how good the 3D effects are without actually holding the cosnole in your hands. Now Japanese gamers will get the opportunity.
