As this is the last Winsday competition of 2010, we're breaking with tradition. Instead of giving away a game, this week we're giving you the chance to get your hands on one of the precious NERF Guns from the stash left behind by former editor Nick. You may well gasp, but it's true - you too could stage a harmless domestic rampage just like those enacted by Nick in NGamer Towers.
For those of you outraged by the non-gaming nature of this week's prize, don't forget that Nick's reign of NERF terror began after he reviewed NERF N-Strike on Wii last year. So if you're the lucky winner of the 'NERF N-Strike Recon CS-6' (as it says on the box) you'll be able to recreate in real life what the game tried to do - ie, making everyone in your house flinch in fear of little foam darts. (Just to be clear here, it is just the gun you're getting, not a copy of N-Strike on Wii.)
If your Christmas would be improved immeasurably by the arrival of a NERF Gun this Saturday then (or perhaps early next week if you're in a snow-hit area), simply answer the question below before the competition closes at midnight on Thursday and we'll pick a winner on Friday morning.
Good luck! And remember, it's what Nick would have wanted...
Q: The acronym 'NERF' stands for Non-Expanding Recreational... what?
Know the answer? Text NGNERF followed by a space then your answer (A, B or C), then another space and your full name and address to 87474. Texts cost a mere 25p plus your standard network rate. The closing date is midnight on Thursday 16 December 2010. Or you can enter by going to www.futurecomps.co.uk/NGNERF.
Full terms and conditions can be found at www.futuretcs.com.
Don't worry if you don't win this week - Winsday will return in the new year.
