A Dead Space movie is a serious possibility, but any big screen adaptation would have to be handled carefully, says series creator Visceral.
The Dead Space franchise now features graphic novels, an anime film, toys, replicas, a soundtrack and two games, but art director Ian Milham has told BBC Newsbeat that any movie release won't be rushed.
"We would love to have a live action film and we've had a lot of discussion," he said. "But one of the reasons Dead Space still exists and is popular is because we've made sure to do everything right.
"So we're doing the same with the film, not just a cheap cash-in but to do something really worthwhile, so we'll see."
Milham told us this month that Visceral is keen to expand the franchise as widely as possible - including, potentially, onto Sony's PSP2 (NGP).
