If you had to make a list of the most hype-tastic video games currently zipping around the internet, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim would be up there as one of the most anticipated.
The screens look amazing, the promise of a brand new and all-powerful engine is exciting and the details so far have been pleasing to say the least.
As the follow-up to the massively loved Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Skyrim was always going to be an instant talking point for games enthusiasts from the moment it was announced. The question was always whether it would be able to live up to the hype. So far it seems to be doing just that.
We know we've not got much to go on at the moment but, considering what we have seen, how much of a chance does Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have of snatching 2011s' Game of the Year award?
Don't forget we've got the likes of L.A Noire coming this year as well - another title that's whipped up a fever, one perhaps even bigger than Skyrim has managed.
Then there are weighty names like Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3 and Batman: Arkham City jumping into the mix as well. All of a sudden Elder Scrolls V doesn't look quite so lofty, can it stand up to such stiff competition.
Let us know what you think and whether you're planning on snapping up Skyrim on day one...
