Former Bizarre Creations design manager Gareth Wilson has joined UK studio Sumo Digital following the closure of the PGR dev, CVG can reveal.
Wilson, who worked as a lead designer on both the Project Gotham series and Blur, will now act as chief games designer at the Sheffield developer.
Sumo's past projects include Sega All-Stars Racing, Outrun Online Arcade, F1 2009 Wii and curiously, the PSP version of Blur rival Split/Second: High Voltage.
Wilson's the first senior Bizarre Creations employee to have his future publicly confirmed. Bizarre sadly shut it doors on Friday after 17 years making games.
He's a very talented man. Good luck, Gareth.
