Modern Warfare 3 'reveal' site: Activision distances itself from stunt

Could EA and Battlefield be playing tricks?

Activision has denied any involvement with a website suggesting that a Modern Warfare-related reveal is coming next week.

The site, 'Findmakarov', was discovered yesterday - and pointed to a Call Of Duty unveiling at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, which kicks off on Monday.

So, a hoax then... or is it? EA is expected to reveal some major Battlefield 3 news at GDC. Could the publisher be up to its old Activision-baiting tricks again?

We're just throwing this one in for fun: Anyone know what former Infinity Ward chiefs Jason West and Vince Zampella - aka Respawn - are up to next week?

DICE this week claimed that Battlefield's rivals in the FPS space have been "treading water" - whilst saying that its own Frostbite 2 engine, which BF3 is built on, is set to revolutionise the genre.
