Infinity Ward has said that last week's massive Modern Warfare 3 leak is only partly accurate.
Speaking via Twitter, IW creative strategist Robert Bowling said: "A lot of hype & a lot of leaked info on #MW3, some still accurate, some not. To avoid spoiling the experience, I'd wait for the real reveal."
Confirming elements of last week's leak, Activision fired out the first teaser trailers for Modern Warfare 3 over the weekend, confirming New York, London, Berlin and Paris locations for the mega-shooter.
Competitive multiplayer will reportedly feature 20 maps - although they may not all be available at launch - while there will be two types of Spec Ops game modes: Survival and Mission.
A leaked retail poster has pegged Modern Warfare 3 for a November 8 release.
