Back at E3 2010 when Nintendo was swaggering around promoting the Nintendo 3DS, it briefly mentioned a new Assassin's Creed title for the handheld from Ubisoft.
Don't remember? Don't worry about it because lead writer on Assassin's Creed: Revelation Darby McDevitt has said the plot of 'Lost Legacy' has now been absorbed by Revelations, the third and final home console chapter in Ezio's story.
The plot of 'Lost Legacy' involved Ezio seeking out a lost castle at Masyaf, believed to be the place the assassin could 'understand the origins of his Order'.
Obviously that leaves the Nintendo 3DS title as a bit of an uncertainty, although neither McDevitt nor Ubisoft have said the project is cancelled, so don't write it off just yet.
Ubisoft has confirmed Assassin's Creed Revelations will appear in its line-up for Comic Con in San Diego next week.
