Borderlands 2 is in development at Gearbox and set for release next year.
The sequel will release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, with an official announcement from publisher 2K Games expected to be made soon, according to a Eurogamer source.
Back in April the game was spotted on the CV of a freelance artist and animator.
Borderlands was the surprise hit of 2009 and Gearbox has since supported the game with regular post-release DLC and updates.
Given its fan-base, another game in the series seems like a given. When it is made official, here's what we'd like to see in Borderlands 2.
