This week's Xbox Live Marketplace update schedule is rather exciting all round, but there are two games that leap out and slap us in the face like a wet fish.
Radiant Silvergun is an insta-buy. Out on September 14 for 1200 MS Points, it's one of the best games to come out of the scrolling shooter master-studio, Treasure, was one of the best (and now most expensive) Sega Saturn games and is the spiritual predecessor to the legendary Ikaruga. Say no more.
BloodRayne Betrayal, meanwhile, has put an exciting new 2D-action spin on the traditionally third-person 3D series, and it looks all the better for it. That one's out tomorrow for 1200 MS Points.
Crimson Alliance, Leedmees for Kinect, Skydrift and Red Bull X-Fighters make up the rest of the new game list. While the sales specials next week will see games, add-on packs and Avatars from Rockstar going for as much as 50 per cent off their usual price.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and all of its expansions are also going cheap.
