Sony has revealed that Assassin's Creed Revelations will be playable in 3D on the PS3.
The news comes courtesy of the PlayStation Blog, which features a Q&A detailing a few of the new features coming to Revelations.
The blog mentions a revised control scheme which pushes Eagle Vision to L3, freeing up triangle for secondary weapons.
It seems Altair's appearances will mainly be in Masyaf key retrieval, which will task him with parkouring his way around dungeon-like environments similar to the Romulus Lairs in Brotherhood.
The assassin recruitment mechanic from Brotherhood will also make a welcome return, but in Revelations, once a recruit reaches the rank of Master Assassin he or she can be ordered to protect an Assassin Den.
A new Animus user-interface and a 'Den Defence' mission type that plays like a tower defence mode are also mentioned in the blog post.
Along with the fleeting mention of 3D support the blog touches on a 'Google Maps-style satellite view' which can be used while bouncing around Constantinople.
Assassin's Creed Revelations on PS3 will also include the original Assassin's Creed.
