Nintendo's promised late November 3DS firmware update has been delayed, and we should probably all refer to it as the early December 3DS firmware update from now on.
In an update posted on its website this morning (via Andriasang) Nintendo confirmed the slip, stating that "more time is needed for preparations". The update is now scheduled to release on December 8.
The firmware will introduce the ability for users to capture their own 3D videos and purchase game DLC, Nintendo's previously confirmed.
The update will also bolster the handheld's StreetPass offerings, adding new puzzles to Puzzle Swap in StreetPass Mii Plaza and a new dungeon to StreetPass Quest.
