Activision has finally revealed a new Spider-Man game is on the way courtesy of Edge of Time and Shattered Dimensions developer Beenox.
Titled simply 'The Amazing Spider-Man', the game will serve as as an epilogue story occurring after the events of the upcoming movie. Fans of the PlayStation classic will be glad to hear the game is going to allow Spidey to roam free in Manhattan.
Hollywood writer Seamus Kevin Fahey, who has penned episodes of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, is putting together the game's story.
Although Activision has mentioned a new 'Web Rush mechanic', it hasn't provided much details other than saying it "allows players to pull off a vast array of moves never before possible".
The debut trailer for Amazing Spider-Man is set to air during Spike TV's Video Game Awards on Saturday,
A video for the game shown off at the New York Comic Con leaked online last month, and features everyone's favourite wall-crawler leaping around the city, doing whatever a spider can. Check it out here.
