After celebrating a decade in the game development business last May, Bromley, UK-based Brink maker Splash Damage has predicted 2012 will be its brightest year yet.
Formed in 2001 by the creators of high profile free mods like Quake 3 Fortress, the studio's gone on to make Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Brink, among other projects.
In a message thanking its fans for their support during that time, CEO and game director Paul Wedgwood offered a quick glimpse of what the studio will be up to over the coming 12 months.
"2012 is going to be a very special year for Splash Damage. In fact, it's going to be the most significant year in our history," he said. "We've got several significant announcements to make in the coming weeks and months.
"We've hired some amazing new talent, strengthening our team in key areas. We'll be revealing new titles - both on platforms we've previously visited (including the PC and the world's leading consoles), as well as exploring spaces completely new to us.
"Finally, we've got some special things planned to take full advantage of the changes our industry is experiencing."
According to reports late last year, Splash Damage's next project will be based on one of the biggest American pop culture brands of the last 50 years.
