'No plans' to make Vita compatible with PS3 or PS2 titles

However, Sony said in an Vita FAQ on the PS Blog that it currently has no plans to make Vita play nice with PS2 Classics or
"PlayStation does not have plans to make PS Vita compatible with PS3 or PS2 titles at this point," the platform holder said.
"Users can play supported digital PSP titles and supported minis," and compatibility with PSone games will be announced "when they are ready".
The news is somewhat disappointing as we had high hopes of playing
Yesterday Sony released a list of cross platform compatible Vita launch titles that support play with PS3. They include MotorStorm RC, WipEout HD Fury DLC, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and more. It has also confirmed players who own any of these games on PS3 will be able to download the same content to their Vita for free and vice versa.
