Rocksmith shreds down under

Put away those plastic instruments and stop playing air guitar, because Rocksmith is coming to teach you to play for real.
Ubisoft announced this morning that the acclaimed Rocksmith will be making its way to Australia and New Zealand September 13th 2012.
If you ever tried to pick up a guitar and administer some self learning you'll know it's a tough nut to crack. Rocksmith is all about authenticity, and thanks to a partnership between Ubisoft and Gibson, the Rocksmith guitar bundle will come with an Epiphone Les Paul Junior. There's also the option to purchase the game as a stand alone if you already have a guitar.
We aren't certain on prices, but EB Games has the guitar bundle listed as $250 (this is just an estimate), but if it stays around that price, it's definitely cheaper than getting a guitar and lessons.
Will you be picking up Rocksmith? Will it work, or is it just another gimmick? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
