Killer is Dead is the second PS3/360 game from the Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games partnership, Lollipop Chainsaw being the first, and it will release in 2013.

Suda will be directing Killer is Dead and has promised to retain "the essence of Killer 7 and No More Heroes", though it isn't a sequel to either.

Players take control of a prisoner that has been sentenced to death who must kill their would-be assassin. Like No More Heroes, the game will rely heavily on swordplay and is pitched as a "Dark Side 007" thematically. Famitsu specifically mentions "beautiful Bond Girl-like ladies" too.

Along with Lollipop Chainsaw, Grasshopper has also recently released XBLA schmup Sine Mora and its Kinect title Diabolical Pitch is out today.
