Fable: The Journey is for 'serious gamers who don't want to jump around'

Lionhead reveals the box art and urges fans to give the Kinect game a try this September

Fable: The Journey won't have you jumping around your living room looking daft like many other Kinect games, according to developer Lionhead.

Revealing the game's box art, the studio said the title's targeted at "serious" gamers.

"Maybe this isn't the biggest news for all our fans out there, but it is a big moment for the development team," Lionhead wrote. "The box art signifies that we are working on a game now that will appear in shops all over the world and this is how you are going to spot Fable: The Journey in local retailers.

"Needless to say we are very proud of it! If you own a Kinect - or are planning on buying one in the near future - and you are a serious gamer who doesn't want to jump around their living room, then this is the game to look out for."

In case you haven't read much about Fable: The Journey since it on-stage demonstration at E3 2011, a showing Peter Molyneux labelled "a horrendous mistake", the game "is not on rails."
