Crytek: We can do things on consoles 'that no-one has done before'

Crytek is able to do things on consoles that "no-one has done before," it's claimed.

Speaking to CVG at a recent Crysis 3 preview event (read our just-published Crysis 3 preview), Crytek's director of creative development, Rasmus Højengaard said it's important "the experience doesn't change" between PC and consoles.

"Obviously we're limited by things such as memory, but we have brilliant R&D guys and they're able to do things that no-one has done on consoles before," he said.

Our man Ben Griffin seems to agree, calling Crysis 3 "a contender for best-looking game of all time".

He says of the threequel: "CryENGINE 3 is a fierce reminder Crytek are among the best in the business at both squeezing juice out of ageing platforms and putting the frightening power of newer ones to dazzling effect."

Crysis 3 was officially announced and detailed earlier this month along with a special Hunter Edition of the game.
