PS3 Call of Duty Elite subs get 2 new MW3 maps this week

While four more are headed to Xbox 360 later this month

Activision will release the latest Modern Warfare 3 DLC for PS3 Call of Duty Elite subscribers this week.

"PS3 ELITE Premium members get two new Content Drops this Thursday: #MW3 maps Sanctuary and Foundation," the company said on Twitter. "RT if you're a #PS3 owner."

The two maps hit Xbox 360 last month and will be followed by four more for Microsoft's console later this month.

PC owners will finally be able to download Modern Warfare 3's Content Collection 1 from tomorrow. It bundles together the Elite Premium content released in January, February and March on Xbox, which includes four multiplayer maps and two Spec Ops missions.

Here are the official descriptions of Sanctuary and Foundation:

Elite Drop 7: Sanctuary
Suspended in the air one thousand feet up, you'll battle more than altitude in the towering sandstone monasteries of Central Greece. Formed over millions of years, this sanctuary's natural rock pillars have repelled invading armies and withstood the ravages of time but now they'll face your deployment. Test your skills-and the ancient monks' craftsmanship-with your arsenal of SMG's, assault rifles and shotguns. Just remember: don't look down.

Elite Drop 8: Foundation
Journey into the heart of South Korea for a decommissioned concrete factory where the cement flows and bullets fly. After decades of constructing roads and buildings, the towering facility is now a perfectly-constructed combat zone for sniping and run-and-gun rules of engagement. Don't stand in awe of the towering concrete crusher at the center of the factory unless you want to see your kill ratio meet the same fate.
