Microsoft officially confirmed Splinter Cell: Blacklist during its E3 press conference earlier this evening.
Shortly after the first screenshots leaked, Ubisoft took to the stage to show off a live demonstration of the new Tom Clancy title. The gameplay demo saw Sam Fisher heading to the Iran Iraq border to stop a terrorist leader.
It also revealed that the title will support Kinect voice controls and retain the Mark and Execute mechanic from SC: Conviction.
Labelled "the most ambitious Splinter Cell" yet, it will feature single player, co-op and Spies vs. Mercenaries mode. It's scheduled for release in spring 2013.
