While rumours have circulated since February that Ubisoft will publish a game tie-in to the Expendables 2, the game now appears to be a certainty, if the Australian Classification Board is anything to go by.
In a post made by the board overnight, the game was rated MA15+. The listing also alludes to a multiplayer element.
This follows a report by NowGamer in February, claiming the existence of a document that makes reference to Ubisoft and several characters in the film.
The Expendables 2 is a forthcoming action film written by and starring Sylvester Stallone, with Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme also featuring in the ensemble cast. It's a big, dumb homage to 1980s action films, so its video game adaptation always seemed inevitable.
We've contacted Ubisoft for more details.
While film tie-ins are usually disastrous (with a few notable exceptions), could this actually be brilliant?
