Dragon's Dogma 2: What we want to see

This is our list, but what do YOU want to see?

This week Capcom confirmed thanks to healthy sales, it will be further developing the Dragon's Dogma IP with more games.

According to Capcom the game, which is the brainchild of staffers that previously worked on Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Breath of Fire, has shipped one million copies and set a first-week sales record in Japan for a new franchise. More than enough to warrant a sequel.

In our Dragon's Dogma review we said it was "hardcore, rewarding, and authentic role-playing experiences on consoles" but there's still plenty of room for improvement.

We've come up with a few things we'd like to see in the sequel.

Fix Up, Look Sharp

Let's get the cheap shot out of the way early. Dragon's Dogma's framerate was very shonky, often slowing the game to a crawl during the more hectic moments. Other gripes with the game's performance include the inconsistent textures, pop-in and the occasional oh-I-seem-to-be-stuck-in-this-rock bug.

These certainly didn't ruin our experience of the first game but it definitely put a bit of a dampener on our fun. We're hoping, and betting, Capcom has this sorted for the second game. Dragon's Dogma was built on the MT Framework, which has powered the majority Capcom's recent games. With any luck team Dogma will daft in a little help from teams more familiar with it for the sequel.
