Battlefield 3's Premium Service is off to a strong start, picking up 800,000 paid users in its first two weeks.
"We are very pleased with the performance so far," said Patrick Soderlund, head of the EA Games label, telling USA Today that the service was running ahead of EA's expectations.
"We're actually only two weeks into it, so it's a little early to tell how this is going to pay off," added Soderlund. "It certainly looks very promising right now."
Speaking in a recent interview, EA's Frank Gibeau seemed equally as pleased with the service, declaring it better than Call of Duty Elite, and suggesting that it could find its way to other EA properties.
