Star Wars: The Old Republic now offering free trial

Use the force for free up to level 15

If you haven't tried Star Wars: The Old Republic, but would like to, from today you can play up to level 15 for free.

A free trial for Star Wars: The Old Republic was announced today, enabling players to live out their very own saga with "thousands of other players up to level 15 with no charge or time limit".

Those who participate in the free trial will have the opportunity to create a character and experience all eight character classes' opening adventures. They will also have the ability to battle other players in 'player-vs-player warzones' or join friends and play through a 'flashpoint.'

If you have participated in previous free trials of Star Wars: The Old Republic, such as a weekend pass free trial, or played with a buddy code, you are still eligible to sign up for this free trial. Unfortunately, if you have had an active game account in the past, you are unable to sign up for the free trial.

The good news is, if you like the game and want to buy it, the character you created in the trial can be used after purchasing the full game.

Interested in play for free? Head to the Star Wars: The Old Republic official site, create an account, and download the game.
