Boston games studio Irrational has applied a Metacritic-based requirement to one of its job vacancies.
A listing for the role of design manager at the BioShock studio stipulates that applicants must have worked on "at least one game with an 85+ Average Meta Critic Review Score".
Other base-line requirements included six years experience in the games business, leadership skills and a fluency with games technologies and engines.
Metacritic, a popular games review consolidation website, has become a topic of controversy as certain games studios will only pay developers royalties if their games reach a certain average score milestone.
But Irrational, which is owned by publishing giant Take-Two, appears to be one of the first companies to add Metacritic scores as a condition of employment.
