BioWare co-founder leaves the studio - report

But Greg Zeschuk is still seemingly with EA

BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk has reportedly left his position as general manager of BioWare Austin.

According to an English translation of an EA statement provided to German site GamersGlobal: "When Greg Zeschuk announced the reorganization of BWA in May, he outlined his plan to return to his family in Edmonton for a much deserved vacation.

"Greg also announced the new GM of BioWare Austin and SWTOR, Matt Bromberg. Greg is still with EA. He's now back in Canada, taking time off and thinking about new projects. No change with [co-founder] Ray Muzyka."

We approached EA for comment on the report too, but the company told us it wasn't making any at this time.

EA confirmed plans to restructure Star Wars: The Old Republic developer BioWare Austin in May, leading to multiple rounds of layoffs.

The publisher recently announced the introduction of a free-to-play option for SWTOR as it admitted that subscribers subscribers had dipped below one million.
