Uncharted movie being re-written, sheds (another) director

Nathan Drake's rocky ride to the big screen has hit another bump in the road recently, having lost yet another director.
According to Variety, director Neil Burger is no longer working on the project. Reasons for his departure go undisclosed.
The movie's script is also being re-written - again - this time by Marianne and Cormac Wibberley, who scribed Disney's 'National Treasure' and Sony's 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle'. A new director will apparently be appointed once the script is done.
The Uncharted movie has been in talks/production since 2010, and sounded promising at one point when Mark Wahlberg looked set (and keen) to play the role of lead protagonist Nathan Drake.
Forward two years, Uncharted 3 has come and gone while the movie is still without a final script and is yet to secure a director that'll stick around long enough to see it through. Don't hold your breath, folks...
