Counter Strike's Dust2 ripped off in free-to-play shooter Arctic Combat

Webzen borrows more than few design cues from the all-time classic map

If you've played Counter Strike, you've probably played the incredible dust2 map. It's practically the default, go-to map in Valve's iconic multiplayer shooter. It's so good, in fact, that Webzen's pinched a few design tips from it. Just a few.

Zoom

Webzen's free-to-play multiplayer FPS Arctic Combat has a map called Sand Storm and, in the video of it below, you may notice some similarities to dust2. As in, it's a blatant rip-off.

As PC Gamer notes, there are a couple of small differences - some crates are moved around and some of the level's dimensions are off, but you will instantly recognise the double-door choke points, upper and lower tunnel sections and mid-point ramp area CS players call the 'Catwalk'.

Arctic Combat is currently in closed beta, but we can't see Valve letting this go any further.
