Metal Gear Solid to get social networking makeover

Konami announced a new Metal Gear game at the series' 25th Anniversary event, but it isn't what you'd expect.
The new Metal Gear game, dubbed Metal Gear Solid: Social Ops, is a social networking game for Japan's Gree platform.
The game will be made for smartphones using the Unity Engine, and is expected to see a release date later this year, with gameplay available at the Tokyo Game Show next month.
No other details were provided about the game, such as if it will be released internationally.
