Resident Evil 6 street date 'broken'

Capcom's biggest game of 2012 appears in the wild a month ahead of release

A Polish retailer has seemingly broken the street date for Resident Evil 6 well ahead of schedule.

The store, based in Poznań, a city in west-central Poland, has sold multiple retail copies of the game to members of the public, according to a NeoGo report (via NeoGAF).

Featuring German packaging, the version of the game sold is in English with selectable Polish subtitles. It looks to be genuine too, as you can see in the screens below.

Capcom is aware of the reports but told us this afternoon that it "does not comment on rumour or speculation".

Having originally planned a November 20 launch for the game, in April Capcom moved the Resident Evil 6 release date forward to October 2 for "competitive reasons".
