Mass Effect: Paragon Lost trailer teases prequel anime film

A peek at the story following Alliance Marine, James Vega

Mass Effect: Paragon Lost is a feature-length anime film which will serve as a prequel to Mass Effect 3. Have a look via the new trailer below.

The film is from Production I.G, the talented studio with Blood: The Last Vampire and the brilliant Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex series on its CV. Paragon Lost also has writer Henry Gillroy onboard, who's best know for co-writing Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

According to the blurb: "Vega leads an elite Special Forces squad into battle against a mysterious alien threat known as The Collectors. Stationed at a colony in a remote star system, Vega and his soldiers must protect the civilians from a ruthless invasion determined to capture the population for unknown purposes."

Mass Effect: Paragon Lost is up for pre-order now and will launch via a Blu-ray/DVD Combo and DVD on December 28, 2012.
