Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the games industry luminary who spearheaded production on cult classics such as Rez and Child of Eden, is stepping away from development, a new report suggests.
Q Entertainment director Nobuhiko Shimizu, who works closely with Mizuguchi, said the man is "now more of a spokesperson".
"Right now Mizuguchi does not produce the games," Shimizu told Eurogamer
However, the nature of Shimizu's comments suggest that Mizuguchi may return to development at some stage.
Q Entertainment's most recent project, Lumines Electronic Symphony, was produced by James Mielke, formerly the editor-in-chief for Electronic Gaming Monthly.
After the release of the game, Mielke moved to work at the Kyoto-based Q Games.
