Valve has announced the launch of the first non-gaming 'Software' on Steam.
The arrival of software packages such as ArtRage Studio Pro, GameMaker: Studio and 3D-Coat (full list below) comes slightly later than the September launch originally announced, but marks "a major expansion" to the previously gaming-only distribution platform, says Valve.
Software titles offered on the digital distribution platform will take advantage of popular Steamworks features such as easy installation, automatic updating, and the ability to save your work to your personal Steam Cloud space.
The celebrate the occasion, Valve is offering Software packages for half-price throughout this week.
