Borderlands 3 'not in development' - Pitchford

Borderlands 3 is not currently in development at Gearbox, according to studio boss Randy Pitchford.
He said on Twitter: "Chill out internet. No one has started working on a sequel to
Pitchford's comments were made in response to those of Anthony Burch, lead writer on the
"Clean and Simple truth: The only Borderlands related game development work going on right now is for Borderlands 2," Pitchford reiterated.
"Anthony was speaking to his thoughts. We're all thinking about it and it's exciting to think. But there's no project - no actual effort."
Gearbox has announced plans to release four campaign add-on packs as Borderlands 2 DLC. A Borderlands 2 Season Pass enabling players to pre-purchase all of them at a discount is available.
In CVG's 8.5 Borderlands 2 review we said the game "is saved from XP strip-mining by a sharp sense of humour and a slick, destructive multiplayer".
