EA Gothenburg hiring for new Need for Speed

EA Gothenburg is recruiting talent for what appears to be a brand new Need for Speed game.

The Swedish studio, which was formed earlier this year, also hints on its website that the game in question will be a next generation project.

It says: "Would you like to work on a game in the Need for Speed franchise? We are hiring, and we are hiring a lot."

Elsewhere it adds: "The Studio will focus on developing a new generation of games, and the engine of choice is Frostbite 2."

EA Labels president Frank Gibeau suggested in August that Xbox 720 and PS4 are due to launch "in about a year's time". More recently, he labelled next gen consoles the company's currently making games for "spectacular".

EA Gothenburg is headed up by former DICE executive producer Marcus Nilsson, who previously led development on games including Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Battlefield 2142 and Shift 2: Unleashed.
