Blog: Sony sends us a cake to celebrate 5m UK PS3's

Sony has sold five million PS3 consoles in the UK, and to celebrate it's sent us some cake.

Here's something you probably didn't know: due to security concerns plastic knives aren't as freely available as you'd imagine. Oddly, the same rules don't apply to plastic forks, despite the fact that they're just a series of neatly arranged pointy ends, almost certainly more desctructive than the knife.

So, here we are, trying to cut our delicious looking cake with the end of a fork....

Things go wrong from the outset, we understimate the depth of the cake and lose the majority of the fork inside it, thus making it hard to get the leverage needed to cut through. A couple of minutes later and we've made the first incision. The PlayStation logo icing put up a good fight, but our tenacity prevailed.

It's not long before we get into the rhythm of it. It's not pretty, but it's getting the job done.

Where were you 15 minutes ago, Link? Get lost, and take your stupid sword with you.

Oh, what a surprise. Of course you want cake. You could do with losing a few pounds, you fat little...

Yeah whatever, sure, you can have some too.
